Senior Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own assigned wall system development efforts from requirements definition through field deployment
• Develop product requirements and specifications for ICON Wall System configurations and printed construction elements
• Maintain and expand the library of producible printed construction elements, including execution guides and installation details
• Define validation requirements and coordinate with Testing and Material Science teams
• Serve as the technical lead for cross-disciplinary product development efforts involving Software, Hardware, and Structural Engineering
• Provide field guidance and technical support to print operators and site teams
• Use Jira to track development progress and manage product lifecycles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in engineering design, construction technology, or product development (6+ years with a Master's)
• Proven ability to drive cross-disciplinary technical initiatives independently
• Experience developing technical documentation such as specifications and execution guides
• Deep expertise in architectural detailing, enclosure performance, building science, or structural analysis
• Solid understanding of construction systems, structural principles, and building methods
• Working knowledge of design-to-build workflows and digital fabrication concepts
• Material science literacy to interpret material behavior in product design

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Experience with 3D-printed construction or advanced manufacturing methods
• Familiarity with CODEX, BuildOS, or similar design-to-build digital platforms
• Experience contributing to software product development as a technical stakeholder
• Proficiency with Jira or equivalent project management tools
• Background in concrete material science or printed concrete construction systems
