Senior Product Developer

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for raw material exchange projects and develop existing recipes
• Identify new raw materials and support the procurement team in optimizing replacements
• Test raw materials using sensory methods and check specifications including declarations, allergens, and nutritional values
• Collaborate closely with procurement, product development, quality management, and raw material manufacturers
• Contribute to the improvement of internal processes
• Prioritize projects independently and coordinate closely with the team
• Regularly test products to ensure continuous improvement through taste and ingredient expertise
• Adjust and further develop recipes when raw materials cannot be replaced 1:1

Requirements

• Degree in nutritional sciences, ecotrophology, food chemistry, food technology, or comparable vocational training (e.g., baker/confectioner)
• 2–3 years of professional experience in product development
• Experience in dietary supplements, sugar-free, or protein-enriched foods is a plus
• Basic IT skills for daily workflow and documentation
• Ability to work independently, carefully, and in a structured manner across multiple projects
• High awareness of laboratory and occupational safety
• Fluency in German and English
• Creative mindset and hands-on mentality

• Previous leadership experience
• Specific experience with protein bars or supplements
