Senior Product Developer, Shoes

Responsibilities

• Deliver the end-to-end product development process for the shoes category, acting as a technical specialist between design teams and vendors.
• Partner with the Design team to provide feedback on technical feasibility and ensure design visions are accurately translated into final products.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, managing capabilities and availability to meet business needs.
• Manage the critical path to ensure prototypes and samples are delivered on time, meeting quality standards and cost targets.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the development process, including budget and margin management.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to support product testing and maintain design intent.
• Ensure PLM systems are updated with 100% accuracy and completeness.
• Support end-of-season production handovers and sample management.

Requirements

• Extensive technical footwear construction knowledge, including materials, leather techniques, and footwear structures.
• Proven experience in vendor relationship management and delivering clear technical briefs.
• Strong critical path management skills to ensure timely collection delivery.
• Ability to manage within a budget with a strong understanding of product costing and commercial implications.
• Proficiency in PLM software, Excel, and InDesign.
• Proficiency in Italian is required.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
