Senior Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for Observe surfaces including AI SRE, APM, Metrics, Log/Trace Explorers, dashboards, or onboarding
• Define interaction models for complex observability workflows such as incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Prototype early and often using AI-enabled tools to validate ideas and iterate with engineering
• Partner with PM and engineering to shape product direction
• Contribute to and evolve the Observe design system and shared interaction patterns
• Present work clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback
• Perform competitive and comparative analysis to understand existing patterns

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience working on complex, data-heavy or developer-facing products
• Strong eye for design, layout, motion, affordances, and visual polish
• Portfolio showcasing ability to design beautiful, powerful, and intuitive software
• Comfort designing for technical users and engaging with engineers on implementation tradeoffs
• Experience with AI-native surfaces like chat interfaces or agent-driven workflows
• Prototype-first mindset
• Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions to leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in observability, monitoring, or incident response workflows
• Experience designing CLI-adjacent or developer tooling surfaces
• Familiarity with Observability tools
• Prior experience at a startup or acquisition-stage product team
