About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design on resident-facing products, from concept to launch
- Conduct user research including interviews, usability sessions, and field visits
- Design user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces
- Practice plain-language content design to simplify complex rules and legal language
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and policy advisors on product decisions
- Build accessibility into the design process from the start
- Contribute to a shared design system and reusable patterns
- Shape design culture through mentorship and onboarding
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, HCI, Digital Design, or related field plus 4 years of experience
- OR Associate degree in related field plus 6 years of experience
- OR Baccalaureate degree plus 8 years of experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in user research, interaction design, and visual design
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operation environment including potential weekends or nights
