About the Company

BRL Studio® is the in-house creative agency for Brodie Rec. League, supporting a rapidly growing sports brand operating across 20+ North American cities and serving more than 50,000 athletes. Brodie League is redefining adult recreational basketball by delivering an elevated, professional-quality experience rooted in culture, competition, and community.

Responsibilities

• Design the XP economy, including points, levels, tiers, and unlockables
• Design badge and archetype systems and weekly challenge/quest systems
• Manage reward loops, milestones, and partner rewards
• Own notification strategy, including triggers, copy patterns, and segmentation
• Design end-to-end user flows for mobile app features like onboarding and social feeds
• Maintain and extend the component library in Figma
• Conduct design QA on TestFlight and staging builds
• Iterate designs based on behavioral data and session analytics

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience on mobile-first consumer apps
• Proven track record of launching progression, reward, or loyalty features
• Expert-level Figma skills (components, auto-layout, prototyping)
• Fluency in engagement metrics (D1/D7/D30 retention, DAU/WAU, funnel analysis)
• Strong portfolio including at least one progression or retention system case study
• AI-native mindset using tools like Cursor, Claude, or Lovable to accelerate workflows
• Ability to work 5 days a week in-office at the Toronto HQ

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in sports betting, iGaming, or streak-based consumer apps
• LiveOps experience with seasonal events or battle passes
• Motion design skills (Lottie, Rive, After Effects)
• Experience with front-end prototyping (HTML/CSS/React)
• Experience working directly with mobile engineers
