Senior Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement new products cross-functionally
• Innovate new ways of doing things to move 3D printing technology forward
• Research and test new ideas and convert them to functional prototypes
• Partner with design engineers to move final designs into manufacturing
• Apply systems thinking to product development

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanism and mechatronic product design experience
• Experience contributing to product system architecture
• Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping (mechanical, electrical, and software)
• Experience controlling sensors and actuators
• Working knowledge of material properties for plastics, metals, and adhesives
• Experience with testing, analysis, and statistical tolerance analysis
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
• Simulation experience
