Senior Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally in the research, development, and implementation of new products
• Innovate new ways of doing things and work with design teams to advance 3D printing technology
• Research and test new ideas and convert them to functional prototypes
• Partner with design engineers to transition final designs into manufacturing

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanism and mechatronic product design experience
• Experience contributing to product system architecture
• Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping (mechanical, electrical, and software)
• Experience controlling sensors and actuators
• Working knowledge of material properties for plastics, metals, and adhesives
• Experience with testing, analysis, and statistical tolerance analysis for precision mechanical design
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
• Hands-on testing experience with some simulation experience
