Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Data Science within Product by producing statistical models that impact insights and recommendations
- Architect and implement sophisticated statistical models including predictive, classification, and clustering to enhance personalization
- Explore new tooling and approaches including Agentic AI and AI Agents through POCs
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to identify high-impact opportunities
- Champion experimentation by designing and analyzing complex AB tests, causal inference models, and uplift modeling
- Guide and mentor product analysts in best practices for experimentation and modeling
- Communicate complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Significant experience in data science or a quantitative role supporting a product organization
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
- Deep experience with statistical modeling, (quasi) experimentation, and machine learning techniques
- Ability to define and operationalize product and feature-level metrics from scratch
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions and drive product strategy
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced programming background for building simulations and prototyping data products
- Experience validating quantitative findings with qualitative methods like user research
- Demonstrated experience with applied AI, NLP, or Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with customer segmentation and predictive LTV modeling
- Experience in two-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel technology
