Senior Product Counsel

Responsibilities

• Act as a legal advisor for product, engineering, supply chain, and marketing teams regarding product development, marketing, and sales
• Advise leadership on legal issues and help design and implement compliance programs
• Simplify complex legal frameworks into actionable guidance for product delivery
• Uplevel product launch processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory issues including import/export and government procurement laws (NDAA/TAA/BAA)
• Develop global internal controls and risk monitoring frameworks for OFAC, ITAR, and AI-related export controls
• Monitor worldwide regulatory developments and identify impacts on product offerings

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Member of a state bar association in good standing
• 6+ years of legal experience in regulatory, IP, product counseling, marketing, or transactional work
• Experience advising multinational, fast-growing global companies with hardware and software products
• Experience developing compliance programs for hardware and software products
• Expertise in federal procurement (FedRAMP, FIPs, NDAA), alarm product regulation, or connected device compliance
• Strong legal and business judgment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of in-house legal experience
