About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with data science and engineering to ensure data integrity in Amplitude and resolve tracking gaps or schema issues
- Collaborate with product teams to design measurement plans, defining success metrics and instrumentation requirements for new features
- Conduct deep behavioral analysis to surface insights regarding user engagement, retention, and feature adoption
- Advise on the design, launch, and interpretation of A/B and multivariate experiments using statistical rigor
- Integrate behavioral data with qualitative UX research to build a holistic understanding of the user experience
- Maintain documentation for analytics event taxonomy, data dictionaries, and tracking standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics)
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics or data analytics, ideally with consumer-facing mobile apps
- Proficiency in Amplitude or a comparable behavioral analytics platform (e.g., Mixpanel, Heap)
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently query and analyze large datasets
- Solid understanding of A/B testing methodology, including statistical significance and experiment design
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Preset, Looker, or Tableau
- Familiarity with mobile measurement nuances and event instrumentation practices (e.g., mParticle)
- Background in data engineering concepts such as ETL, pipelines, and schemas
- Experience partnering with UX researchers on mixed-methods studies
