Senior Producer

Responsibilities

• Select, research, and write content for live newscasts to create an engaging viewer experience
• Coordinate and execute creative vision with anchors, reporters, meteorologists, and production staff
• Guide reporters in story production and pitch local enterprise stories
• Maintain a calm and commanding presence in the booth, especially during breaking news and weather coverage
• Write and post stories daily to digital and social media platforms
• Use social media platforms to research and develop content for television and digital use

Requirements

• Professional or college producing experience
• Proven experience working in a newsroom environment
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, and copy-editing skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple crews and responsibilities simultaneously
• Ability to summarize complex information into easy-to-understand components
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights
• High level of journalistic integrity and ethical standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ENPS
• Creative presentation style with the ability to showcase all available resources and elements
