About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex procurement processes and documentation including instructions, criteria, negotiation plans, and award reports
- Provide senior assurance for strategies, business cases, and evaluation governance
- Coach and develop procurement staff to support knowledge transfer
- Coordinate procurement alignment with other program directorates
- Manage supplier engagement and procurement communications
- Maintain tender event schedules, risk registers, and progress reporting
- Support business case development and approvals
- Ensure all procurement activity is PCR-compliant
Requirements
- 4-8 years of end-to-end public procurement delivery experience
- Deep knowledge of Public Contract Regulation 2015
- MCIPS or equivalent qualification
- Strategic sourcing expertise and sector knowledge
- Experience delivering complex procurements
- Strong documentation, governance, and stakeholder capability
- Understanding of UK public procurement regulations and commercial models such as NEC or MMC
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in NHS or government programmes
