AI is growing faster than any technology in history and the explosion in demand has created a massive infrastructure gap. The OLIX Decode Accelerator 1 (DX-1) is the first accelerator architected specifically for decode, utilizing rack-scale co-design of logic, data movement, packaging, optics and interconnect to enable a step change in system level performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own the transfer of processes from internal development into a III-V foundry partner
  • Drive rapid prototyping and iteration cycles from CAD to measured die
  • Document mask sets, material stacks, and dependencies to mature experimental flows
  • Collaborate with R&D partners, universities, and external foundries to qualify new process steps
  • Guide internal technicians and external partners to ensure process discipline and yield learning
  • Use DOE/SPC and metrology data to accelerate convergence and maintain process control
  • Maintain detailed process documentation and run internal FMEA sessions

Requirements

  • 5–15 years of experience in advanced micro-fabrication
  • Deep process integration expertise
  • Experience collaborating with external fabs, R&D consortia, or tool vendors
  • Proven record creating or modifying process flows for novel optoelectronic devices
  • Background in photolithography, DRIE/RIE, thin-film deposition (PVD/ALD), wafer bonding, or wet etch
  • Proficiency in DOE/SPC tools such as JMP or Python
  • B.Eng., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with wafer-level packaging or flip-chip integration
  • Experience transferring R&D processes to external pilot or production environments
  • Working knowledge of simulation and characterisation (FEM, profilometry, interferometry, L-I-V, or spectral testing)
