Senior Process Engineer, Productivity

Responsibilities

• Drive and own top customer productivity issues, including defect reduction, tool matching, and tool availability, throughout the product life cycle.
• Act as a system-level expert by interacting with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software engineering teams.
• Provide guidance to engineering teams during the design phase regarding customer requirements and productivity specifications.
• Design and conduct experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to fulfill technical objectives.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems through active, hands-on engagement.
• Own marathon qualification of new processes and products in the development lab, including data collection and analysis.
• Ensure processes follow best known practices and proliferate new solutions across internal and field support teams.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with hardware.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to characterize processes or hardware using first principles and experimental design (DOE, RSM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining advanced technical constructs.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally between 25-50%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with statistical analysis and script writing in Python, Matlab, or similar languages.
