Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering technical direction for water treatment and supply projects within the Anglian Water @One Alliance
• Deliver design support for various water treatment and supply schemes, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Project Design Managers to review upcoming projects and design milestones
• Coach and mentor junior and less experienced members of the process engineering team
• Review and check process design deliverables, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and 3D models
• Verify mass balance, process sizing, and hydraulic calculations for accuracy and technical detail
• Review process documentation such as basis of design, process flow diagrams, control philosophies, and commissioning strategies
• Drive sustainability and low-carbon design initiatives to reduce carbon and increase natural capital
• Undertake site visits and present lessons learned and technical developments to the wider alliance

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification (or equivalent demonstrated knowledge through experience)
• Chartered status or actively pursuing chartered status
• Proven experience within the water sector
• Experience working on capital projects
• Experience in design and build environments
