Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize key process indices, including gate oxide integrity
• Characterize and optimize furnace preclean operations
• Establish and document equipment and process operating specifications
• Develop OCAPS for all manufacturing processes
• Design, coordinate, and perform experiments to develop new processes and improve manufacturing techniques
• Lead team activities to solve process and device problems and reduce variation in critical processes
• Provide technical direction and training to support personnel
• Apply problem-solving tools such as PFMEA, fault tree analysis, and event tree analysis
• Prepare and present technical reports and equipment purchase recommendations to management

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of thermal oxidation processes on Si and SiC
• Engineering knowledge of integrated circuit manufacturing
• Proficiency in mathematical concepts including statistics, calculus, and device physics
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze scientific and technical journals
• Strong technical writing skills for papers, reports, and correspondence
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
• BS degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field with 4+ years of experience, or an MS with 2+ years, or a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with MATLAB, Mathematica, LabVIEW, or JMP
• Basic understanding of TCAD simulation and semiconductor parametric measurements
• Familiarity with surface analysis techniques such as AES, SIMS, XPS, and EELS
• Experience in project management
