About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide daily production support by evaluating defects and troubleshooting machines
- Train operators and write work instructions for key process steps
- Support processes including eutectic die attach, wire bonding, epoxy attach, gap welding, and PWB surface mount
- Improve processes using statistical analysis and process controls
- Track metrics and implement systems for continual quality improvement
- Optimize factory layout to improve throughput, efficiency, and quality
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical, aerospace, material science, or equivalent)
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Proficiency with DOE and statistical techniques
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Ability to work hands-on in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automation equipment and equipment programming
- Experience with pick and place machines, epoxy dispensers, or wire bonding machines
- Experience sourcing, selecting, and qualifying automation equipment
- Understanding of common assembly materials like epoxy and fine wires
