Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable. Our iron-air battery production is underway at our first high-volume manufacturing facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technical authority on the floor during overnight hours, making autonomous decisions on escalations and downtime response
  • Mentor and set daily priorities for a team of night shift technicians to stabilize line cadence and drive accountability
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators including OEE, yield, and cycle times to identify bottlenecks
  • Apply mechanical intuition to assess equipment and process issues to ensure robust and safe fixes
  • Document and communicate overnight issues clearly to day-shift engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Initiate tactical continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste and optimize machine reliability
  • Act as the voice of the shop floor by communicating actionable design feedback to the system engineering team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 4–7+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or fast-paced industrial operations
  • Experience managing, prioritizing tasks for, and developing a technical team
  • Strong familiarity with manufacturing metrics such as OEE and downtime tracking
  • Practical approach to root-cause analysis
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and automated equipment
  • High autonomy and sound judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional peers
