Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead process design tasks across feasibility, optioneering, concept, outline, and detailed design
• Prepare and coordinate process deliverables including calculations, mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs
• Manage technical quality, interfaces, scope, budget, and programme for assigned process packages
• Lead site surveys, data reviews, and process capacity assessments
• Coordinate process interfaces with Mechanical, EICA, civil, structural, and MEP teams
• Support HAZOP, SWIFT, DSEAR, and safety-by-design reviews
• Mentor Engineers and Graduates and contribute to process standards

Requirements

• BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status or significant CEng-level experience
• 6+ years of relevant process design experience
• Background in water, wastewater, or biosolids/sludge treatment design
• Proficiency in preparing process calculations, mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs
• Working knowledge of UK water industry standards and CDM 2015
• Experience with process modelling, simulation, or advanced spreadsheets
• Right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BioWin, SUMO, or Dynamizu
• Knowledge of AMP8, WINEP, or major capital delivery environments
• Expertise in nutrient removal, water reuse, or low-carbon design
• Experience supporting commissioning and performance testing
