Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal fluid system process design and analysis
• Support plant operations through commissioning, including occasional shift work
• Create 2D/3D design drawings, process schematics, and equipment lists
• Troubleshoot machinery, equipment, instrumentation, and controls
• Develop CONOPs and HMIs for software and controls implementation
• Prepare and execute operating, maintenance, and repair plans and procedures
• Write specifications and manage procurements, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
• Design and fabricate hardware and equipment skids
• Plan acceptance and performance tests and coordinate contractor activities

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering
• Experience in fluid system process engineering design
• Hands-on commissioning or operation of mechanical and fluid systems
• Expertise in thermal fluid system design and compressible fluid hydraulic analysis
• Experience with procurement and vendor management
• Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, CGA, NFPA, IEEE, and OSHA standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities like climbing and standing
• Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, or on-call shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifying, designing, and commissioning large-scale fluid cryogenic systems
• Hands-on operation of industrial-scale rotating machinery (compressors, pumps, turbines)
• Experience with the repair and maintenance of industrial-scale process piping and pressure vessels
• Proficiency in creating and releasing CAD drawings for fabrication
• Project management experience within a matrixed organization
