Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for day-to-day operations at the Elkton facility and toll manufacturing locations
• Lead or participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including PHA reviews and PSSR
• Initiate Management of Change (MOC) activities to improve safety, quality, environment, and cost
• Perform process testing for continuous improvement and with new products, including new polymers and chemicals
• Review, revise, and create technical documentation and procedures
• Assist with capital project front-end loading to ensure equipment meets process requirements
• Mentor less experienced engineers and co-ops

Requirements

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of chemical or polymer processing equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, extruders)
• Understanding of OSHA 1910 Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Ability to travel approximately 10%
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of manufacturing experience
• Experience with polymer or elastomer processing and compounding
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and capital projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Power Platform
• Experience with Aspen Process Explorer, IP 21, SEEQ, or SAP/R3
