Senior Principal Test Framework Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and extend test automation frameworks for hardware qualification and validation
• Translate hardware specifications into scalable, maintainable automated test suites
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage meets product and quality requirements
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in automation frameworks across environments and platforms
• Develop tooling to process, analyze, and visualize test data for actionable insights
• Optimize test execution efficiency and improve validation methodologies
• Communicate technical status, risks, and insights to engineering stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 10–15+ years of experience in automation systems, test frameworks, or infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in Python or Bash
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and hardware testing frameworks
• Experience building scalable, maintainable, and reliable automation systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test orchestration systems or automation infrastructure
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Background in AI hardware, embedded systems, or BMC environments
• Experience integrating automated testing into manufacturing or deployment systems
