Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic advisory support for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) PEO C3BM Battle Network.
• Support acquisition interoperability strategies for complex multi-system-of-systems (SoS) IT architectures.
• Execute mission engineering processes, including drafting SoS requirements and developing DAF Battle Network architecture.
• Consult with program representatives to refine functional requirements and assist government officials with acquisition document reviews.
• Monitor program execution, including schedules, risks, and dependencies, to ensure successful integration.
• Deliver high-level technical advice on advanced weapon systems, sensors, and computer processing technologies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross-functional teams across an enterprise or system of systems (SoS).
• Extensive experience in defense acquisition, specifically supporting interoperability strategies and mission engineering processes.
• Proven experience working on classified and special access programs.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with SCI and SAR eligibility.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of Tactical Datalinks, IP Communication networking, and RF spectrum applications.
• Ability to work onsite at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with up to 25% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Operational units or formal testing (DT & OT).
• Experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Technical expertise in Strategic Datalinks and related data exchanges.
• Working knowledge of Department of the Navy (DoN) airborne platforms and communications.
• Experience working with FFRDCs and UARCs.
