Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic advisory support for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) PAE C3BM Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE) team.
• Execute mission engineering processes, including drafting System-of-Systems (SoS) requirements and developing the DAF Battle Network architecture.
• Consult with program representatives to refine functional requirements and assist government officials with acquisition document reviews and approvals.
• Monitor program execution, including schedules, risks, and dependencies, to ensure successful integration and outcomes.
• Collaborate across multiple organizations and lines of effort to support high-consequence architectural initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross-functional teams in a System-of-Systems (SoS) context.
• Proven experience developing complex SoS architectures aligned with mission needs.
• Expertise in performing data analysis to identify and mitigate gaps, risks, and opportunities within SoS architectures.
• Strong foundation in Systems Engineering within Government acquisition and operational environments.
• Experience with modeling and simulation technologies.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (with SCI and SAR eligibility).
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline (relevant experience may be substituted).
• Ability to work onsite at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with up to 25% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Technical experience with Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2).
• Experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Working understanding of DAF MAJCOMs (ACC and GSC) roles and equities.
• Experience working with FFRDCs and UARCs.
