Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic advice on advanced weapon systems, sensors, and computer processing technologies for the DAF PEO C3BM Battle Network.
• Deliver critical technical advisory support for integration planning and implementation.
• Support the development of acquisition interoperability strategies for complex multi-system-of-systems (SoS) architectures.
• Execute mission engineering processes, including developing SoS matrices and performing integrated assessments.
• Draft requirements and develop DAF Battle Network architecture.
• Consult with program representatives to evaluate functional requirements and support government officials in approving acquisition documents.
• Provide recommendations on the usage of Digital Engineering tools, including Cameo, Jira, and Confluence.
• Assist in the coordination for onboarding and offboarding Mission Integration personnel.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross-functional teams across an enterprise or system of systems.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with SCI and SAR eligibility.
• 5+ years of experience with digital engineering and modern model-based technologies (MBSE, MBD, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience working on classified and special access programs.
• Proficiency working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira and Confluence.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Wright-Patterson AFB, OH for onsite requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• 20+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Knowledge of Homeland Defense concepts, C2 systems, Integrated Air Defense, or Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD).
• Experience with kinetic and non-kinetic C-UAS systems.
• Experience working on-site in a government client environment.
• Knowledge of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) frameworks, directives, and policies.
