About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead systems engineering activities across the full development lifecycle for complex aerospace and defense systems.
  • Drive the development of system architectures, CONOPS, interface definitions, and MBSE artifacts using SysML.
  • Provide technical leadership for system integration, verification, validation, troubleshooting, and accreditation activities.
  • Lead Agile systems engineering activities, including the decomposition of epics and features into executable user stories.
  • Manage technical execution, program risks, schedules, costs, and performance objectives.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and coach to engineering teams to support talent development and excellence.
  • Interface directly with customers, senior leadership, and stakeholders in both collaborative and classified environments.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing and integrating complex network architectures using physical and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency with VMware or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Oracle in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience leading systems engineering teams and cross-functional efforts.
  • Proven experience in requirement derivation, tracing, and developing operational concepts.
  • Experience leading Agile development activities (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer).
  • STEM degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active or current U.S. security clearance.
  • Expertise with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw CAMEO, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
  • Advanced experience developing complex SysML models.
  • Experience with Project Management, Control Account Management (CAM), and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and modern digital transformation initiatives.
