Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a Systems Engineering Scrum Team through design and development efforts
• Act as a technical leader within Scrum Teams to provide guidance and influence work backlogs
• Perform Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities, including estimating costs, resources, and time
• Interface with hardware and software teams to resolve technical challenges and dependencies
• Prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements
• Monitor project progress regarding cost, schedule, and technical specifications
• Conduct critical path analysis and collaborate with program leadership to manage workflow
• Support proposal and bid processes using estimation tools

Requirements

• STEM degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience (or Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience)
• Active and existing Secret U.S. government issued security clearance required on day 1
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) focusing on Earned Value (EV)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating as a Product Owner in an Agile environment
• Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical data to management
• Experience capturing customer requirements and deriving system-level requirements
• Familiarity with peer review processes, configuration, and change management
