Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and resolution of high-severity, multi-layer incidents involving infrastructure, Kubernetes, data engines, storage, and networking
• Provide solution architecture recommendations for performance tuning, resiliency, and configuration design
• Act as a technical bridge between Customer Support, Product Management, and R&D to influence product roadmaps
• Escalate defects and translate complex customer issues into actionable product improvements
• Identify recurring patterns, systemic risks, and opportunities for platform optimization

Requirements

• 12 to 15 years of related professional experience
• Proficiency in Python development and working with complex datasets
• Experience with AI/ML models and an agentic-first mindset using advanced AI tools
• Strong expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, MS SQL, MongoDB)
• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and observability/log pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
• Experience with Starburst or Trino
