Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of critical customer escalations and orchestrate efforts during severe technical issues
• Drive strategic technical direction for the PowerStore Customer Engineering team
• Collaborate with R&D and business units to resolve challenges and transfer knowledge across the organization
• Identify and investigate trending technical issues to drive product enhancements
• Technically lead and mentor team members to elevate collective engineering capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 12+ years of experience in advanced technical positions (support, development, or solution architecture)
• Deep expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure and storage systems
• Hands-on experience with Linux, VMware, and Windows Server
• Solid knowledge of SAN and networking protocols
• Proven ability to lead resolution efforts during high-pressure customer escalations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with virtualization platforms and VDI solutions (VMware/Citrix)
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, PowerShell, or bash
• Deep database expertise including SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Experience with storage performance tuning and clustering solutions
