Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues using advanced tools and methodologies
• Conduct detailed root-cause analysis (RCA) and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders
• Design and implement intelligent automation solutions, leveraging AI and emerging agentic technologies to enhance operational efficiency
• Perform performance optimization, configuration tuning, and long-term stability improvements
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive collaborative problem-solving
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the organization

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software or hardware engineering
• Deep expertise in one or more of the following: Object storage, NAS (Network Attached Storage), Linux/BSD operating systems, Networking and protocol stacks (SMB, NFS, etc.), or Filesystems
• Experience with analytics, observability, and data science
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week, including rotational weekend work and occasional shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, C, Python, and various scripting languages
• Proven experience developing automation frameworks
• Experience applying AI/agentic tools to drive scalability and operational efficiency
