Senior/Principal Solutions Architect - Cyber Physical Systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary architect for complex information systems, integrating hardware, software, databases, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with customers to define and integrate system requirements using commercial, open-source, or custom technologies.
• Drive architectural changes and ensure system interoperability through cross-system collaboration and interface definition.
• Evaluate, test, and analyze system performance and functionality to meet strict acceptance criteria.
• Ensure software configuration management and alignment with continuous integration and testing pipelines.
• Communicate technical progress and strategic architectural recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of directly related experience in information technology or systems architecture.
• Proven experience in server administration and networking.
• Proficiency with Linux systems and server maintenance.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and BASH.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent (e.g., DOD Top Secret).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), including maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs).
• Demonstrated history of mentoring and training other members of the workforce.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for investigating complex system anomalies.
• Ability to document technical work in a clear, thorough, and professional manner.
