Senior Principal Software Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate real-time security software for deployed missile systems.
• Apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of missile software applications.
• Develop software applications using C and C++ on a variety of embedded computing platforms.
• Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering teams to define and implement technical requirements.
• Interface with the customer community to review technical designs and support system maturity verification.
• Analyze real-time software design and the performance implications of specific security implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with embedded processors such as Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or similar.
• Experience with embedded operating systems like VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or similar.
• Proven experience in embedded software security.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Level U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the validation and verification of software applications.
• Knowledge of ARM Architecture, secure boot concepts, and cryptographic algorithms.
• Experience interfacing with FPGAs, low-level memory drivers, or inter-processor communication.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development environments and DevSecOps.
• Proficiency with Python or Perl.
• Familiarity with modern computer architectures and hardware technologies including PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA, or ASICs.
