Senior Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Electronic Warfare (EW) programs within cross-disciplined integrated product teams
• Lead the architecture, design, and integration of complex software and system solutions using agile methodologies
• Innovate new products and technologies from initial architecture through lab and field testing
• Develop software and FPGA-level interface requirements derived from system-level specifications
• Perform simulations, analysis, and laboratory testing of software solutions
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, and electrical engineers to root-cause issues and develop creative resolutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Proficiency in software design, development, and testing using C, C++, and Ada
• Experience with embedded microprocessors, SoC software design, FPGAs, and high-speed transceivers
• Proven experience serving as a technical or project lead
• Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with real-time applications on embedded platforms such as Linux, VxWorks, or Windows
• Knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EA/ES), Radar, or Secure Communications technology
• Lab experience using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, and signal generators
• Familiarity with tools including Visual Studio, Git, Jira, Vitis, or Code Composer
• Experience with bus standards such as 1553, PCI/PCIe, or Gb Ethernet
• Experience with Agile development processes and machine learning
