Senior Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate scalable platforms and applications for the digital product creation ecosystem.
• Lead technical priorities and establish engineering best practices across multiple teams.
• Operate systems to ensure high reliability and seamless performance in a high-scale domain.
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Engineering Directors, to align execution with business needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to foster innovation and professional growth within the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 14+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Principal or Staff Engineer, with accountability for multiple engineering teams.
• 5+ years of native cloud engineering experience in a high-scale, business-critical domain.
• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, or cloud equivalents.
• Experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Vue, or React/Redux.
• Hands-on experience implementing Gen AI and working knowledge of Gen AI design patterns.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and business-facing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain experience in product creation, design, innovation, or manufacturing.
• Deep experience with distributed cloud systems such as EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, or Google Cloud/Azure equivalents.
