About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture development, subsystem analysis, and requirements flow-down for advanced radar receiver and exciter hardware
  • Define interfaces between the Receiver Exciter subsystem and other system components
  • Support signal processing algorithm definition based on system needs and hardware capabilities
  • Resolve complex technical issues identified during the design, integration, and testing phases
  • Analyze radar data, including IQ data, to identify and resolve system performance issues
  • Develop calibration solutions to ensure hardware meets top-level radar performance specifications
  • Lead small development teams and participate in design for manufacturing and production transition reviews
  • Interface with customers regarding technical and program-level status

Requirements

  • STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior work experience (or an Advanced degree with 7+ years of experience)
  • Extensive experience with Radar Receiver/Exciter signal processing techniques and methods
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as MATLAB
  • Experience with Radar Receiver/Exciter system and subsystem analysis, design, and testing
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cascade analysis, frequency planning, and I/Q signal processing analysis using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python
  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques and FPGA implementation
  • Experience with low noise RF source design and radar system calibration
  • Hands-on laboratory experience using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and logic analyzers
  • Experience transitioning designs from early concept to deliverable products
