Senior/Principal R&D Electronics Engineer - Integrated Circuit Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute novel microelectronics experiments to ensure the radiation hardness of advanced integrated circuits.
• Coordinate and automate transistor and integrated circuit tests to characterize the physics of radiation effects.
• Analyze and summarize digital and analog measurements of CMOS transistors and complex integrated circuits, including SRAMs, FPGAs, and microprocessors.
• Report and present project plans and technical accomplishments to management and sponsors.
• Utilize firmware programming on FPGAs for custom test automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
• Five (5) years of directly relevant experience in integrated circuits or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
• Knowledge of CMOS transistor operation principles and integrated circuit designs.
• Experience with hardware-level FPGA programming and electrical testing methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a highly related field.
• Demonstrated experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, logic/network/spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
• Proficiency with design and analysis tools including Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, LTSpice, or ModelSim.
