Senior/Principal R&D Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new system electrical architecture concepts for Phase 1 studies and advanced technology maturation efforts
• Partner with R&D groups across the laboratory to identify and integrate emergent technologies into future system concepts
• Lead engineering teams to test and deliver hardware concepts for ground and flight tests
• Collaborate with vehicle designers to integrate electrical architectures into flight vehicles
• Provide technical briefings and updates to Department of Energy and Department of War stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Five (5) years of directly relevant experience in electrical engineering or research and development
• Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent active security clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain Sigma 15

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a highly related field
• Experience in ND systems electrical engineering or working with the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE)
• Experience with electrical component design, testing, and agile/rapid development programs
• Demonstrated history of technical leadership and mentorship
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI clearance, including a polygraph examination
