About the role
Responsibilities
- Interpret and implement federal laws, regulations, and requirements for the intelligence community and US Department of Energy
- Provide oversight of security policies and advise management on necessary actions and risks
- Develop policies, processes, procedures, and tools to facilitate security requirements and assess implementation
- Manage classified and sensitive information classification, marking, and handling
- Conduct onsite assessments, risk assessments, security investigations, and compliance resolutions
- Develop and provide security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training
- Conduct inquiries into potential incidents of security concern
- Team with cyber security staff, physical security experts, and government sponsors to maintain program security
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of directly related experience in security operations or a similar field
- Active DOE Q-level and SCI security clearance (or equivalent such as DOD Top Secret/SCI)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience properly handling, protecting, and controlling SCI classified material
- Demonstrated knowledge of Sandia, DOE, Field Intelligence Element, or Intelligence Community security policies
- Ability to communicate complex security elements to both technical and non-technical executive management
- Willingness to travel approximately two to three times per year
