Senior Principal Engineer (Full Stack/Platform)

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for multiple services and platforms, translating product strategy into technical roadmaps.
• Lead the design and delivery of highly available, secure, and performant production systems, including microservices and front-end experiences.
• Drive cross-organizational decisions on architecture, tooling, and frameworks to ensure consistency and API quality.
• Produce and review production-quality code, design documents, and lead major migrations and rollouts.
• Define and enforce platform standards for CI/CD, test automation, observability, security, and autoscaling.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align technical delivery with business outcomes like conversion and search quality.
• Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers to build technical leadership across the organization.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies such as GenAI, vector search, and workflow orchestration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale, production distributed systems and web platforms.
• Proven track record as a systems architect with expertise in cloud-native architectures, specifically AWS.
• Deep experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and orchestration systems like Temporal.
• Strong full-stack expertise including Node.js, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and React.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong SRE and operational excellence skills, including observability, SLOs/SLIs, and incident response.
• Experience with high-scale commerce systems, search/ML integrations, or GenAI.
