Senior Principal Engineer - CNS and Interoperability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and market requirements to propose technical solutions for the C-390 Millenium aircraft
• Oversee technical proposals and coordinate work for junior to senior level engineers on large projects
• Liaise with U.S. partners to provide technical guidance and respond to inquiries
• Execute technical assessments for product development related to CNS and interoperability
• Provide on-site technical support at domestic and international meetings with partners and customers
• Collaborate with internal engineering specialists to ensure bids meet client specifications
• Set project milestones, manage risks, and estimate engineering labor during the pre-sales phase
• Work with business development to prospect new market opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or mechatronic engineering
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the defense aerospace sector
• Broad knowledge of Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) and interoperability systems
• In-depth knowledge of military datalink systems (air-to-air, air-to-ground, and satellite)
• Experience in development, integration, and certification of CNS subsystems
• Experience working with or for U.S. primes and OEMs
• Experience with airworthiness certification standards such as MIL-STD-516
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD secret-level or higher security clearance within 12 months
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NATO standards for CNS systems, clearance processes, and operational procedures
• Demonstrated experience with the design and certification of fuel and air-to-air refueling systems
• Previous knowledge of the C-390 Millenium model
