About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a Controls Engineering Team of 3-5 members and provide day-to-day engineering support.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff and maintenance technicians.
- Drive automation, process optimization, and manufacturing capacity analysis.
- Lead the design, installation, and start-up of new equipment and systems.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and implement problem resolution for existing and new equipment.
- Manage change control activities, NCR/CAPA investigations, and validation protocols.
- Establish and control capital operating budgets for engineering projects.
- Coordinate with multi-functional teams to ensure manufacturing regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred).
- 8+ years of professional engineering experience in a similar role.
- 8+ years of experience with Rockwell PLC (Allen-Bradley Control Logix, AB500, Safety PLCs).
- Expertise in servo control systems (Rockwell, Yaskawa).
- Proficiency in reading and writing electrical schematics.
- Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotics (Fanuc, Yaskawa, Staubli) and vision systems (Cognex, Keyence).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Profibus, Fieldbus, and HSSB communication.
- Programming skills in C#, C++, VB, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with E-Plan P8 and Category 3 Safety Systems.
