Senior Principal Engineer, Analog Validation/Characterization

Responsibilities

• Develop complex bench characterization test methodologies for Analog IPs including ADC, DAC, PLL, USB, VREG, and DDR
• Write automated code to control test equipment for the collection and processing of characterization data across PVT combinations
• Perform design evaluation and bench characterization for Analog IPs servicing Automotive, Industrial, and Consumer Electronics industries
• Review schematics and PCB layouts to develop circuit boards that maintain high signal integrity for design evaluation
• Provide customer application note support by generating characterization data for specific customer scenarios
• Collaborate with marketing, systems, design, and project management teams to support new product launches

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Electronics, Telecommunication, or Electrical Engineering
• 5-10 years of related experience in analog validation or characterization
• Strong understanding of electrical circuit analysis, design, and test fundamentals
• Proficiency in C programming
• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand automation
• Proven experience in the bring-up of silicon and analog validation platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with high-speed test and measurement equipment such as DSA, AWG, and Spectrum Analyzers
• Deep knowledge of PVT characterization for various Analog IPs
• Experience with multilayer board design, testing, and signal integrity issues
• Understanding of differential signaling and transmission line theory
• Strong leadership and planning skills for lead positions
