About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of airborne electronic warfare products, ensuring compliance with size, weight, power, reliability, and cost requirements.
- Work with a broad range of mixed-signal circuits, including Power, Analog, Digital, FPGA, SoC, and SubSystems.
- Support Radar Warning Receivers (RWR) and other EW products requiring familiarity with RF circuitry and system interfaces.
- Generate requirements documentation, design artifacts, verification and test plans, trade studies, and failure root cause analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers.
- Participate in the creation of technical and cost proposals for new programs.
- Communicate technical matters and conduct briefings for executive leadership.
Requirements
- STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience.
- Experience with modern electronic system design, including high-performance FPGAs, Flash/DDR memory interfaces, and A/D and D/A conversion.
- Proficiency in mixed-signal circuit analysis and power conversion (DC/DC and AC/DC).
- Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout support, and signal integrity analysis.
- Proficiency with electronic design tools such as Mentor Xpedition (or equivalent), SPICE-based simulators, MATLAB, and HyperLynx SI.
- Ability to develop system-level block diagrams and manage detailed bills of materials (BOMs).
- U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing FPGA-based circuitry and JTAG programming.
- Deep knowledge of CCAs featuring FPGAs, flash memory, DDR RAM, ADCs, DACs, and power conversion ICs.
- Experience with RF components, specifications, and creating POL supplies for RF circuitry.
- Proven experience mentoring other engineers.
