About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design Digital Circuit Cards from inception through layout and assembly
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including Layout, Systems, Mechanical, Test, FPGA, and Software engineers
  • Work with ECAD designers to generate full databases and drawings to build PWB/CCAs
  • Perform design analysis including Timing, Power, and Signal Integrity
  • Conduct design verification, troubleshooting, and bench-level testing
  • Produce and present comprehensive design documentation, including trade studies and design memos
  • Mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed-signal high-speed Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
  • STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an Advanced Degree in a related field with 7+ years of experience
  • Extensive experience in Digital CCA Design (parts selection, schematic capture, library management)
  • Proficiency in PCB Design (stackup, routing rules, placement, and DRC validation)
  • Experience with Artwork (ODB++) validation and creating PWB/CCA drawing sets
  • Experience in Design Verification/Analysis (Timing, Power, and Signal Integrity)
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Design Tools
  • Knowledge of IPC Standards for PCB Design and Fabrication
  • Proficiency with IEEE and MIL standards
  • Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits
