Senior/Principal Computer Scientist - UI Development

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy sophisticated UI software for complex, real-time decision support systems.
• Develop new user interfaces as part of larger systems integrated with databases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Provide technical mentorship to development teams and iterate on software designs.
• Work from developed requirements, specifications, and architectural designs for new systems.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Expertise in JavaScript and React.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a highly related field.
• Experience with modern software development practices such as Agile.
• Proven experience working on large-scale software systems.
• Familiarity with service-based architectures (SOA, microservices) and distributed system design.
• Experience with Gitlab, Gradle, and UML modeling.
• Technical leadership experience as a lead developer, architect, or team lead.
