About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive operational excellence within the corporate transactions practice by leading partners through data-driven decision-making and scalable business processes.
- Assess partner write-off requests and evaluate new business intake for strategic and financial risk.
- Spearhead talent development, including associate performance evaluations, staffing model alignment, and onboarding optimization.
- Design repeatable playbooks for M&A transactions and conduct post-deal retrospectives.
- Build performance dashboards focusing on deal progress, client experience, workforce management, and profitability.
- Advise partners on multi-year growth plans, including market segmentation, pricing models, and new service development.
- Manage quarterly objectives and financial forecasting by monitoring KPIs and producing insights for firm management.
- Guide client teams through the full matter lifecycle using legal project management methodologies to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- 6+ years of operations, strategy, practice, or engagement management experience (or 3 years with an MBA or JD from a top institution).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Advanced communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of implementing scalable solutions with an emphasis on financial performance and client satisfaction.
- Expertise in change management methodologies with the ability to influence partners and drive measurable results.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and a willingness to challenge assumptions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in corporate transaction lifecycles or exposure to M&A workflows.
- J.D. or MBA degree.
- Experience working directly with high-profile clients (e.g., PE portfolio operations, investment banking, or consulting).
- Ability to design next-generation legal service models.
