Senior Power Trader

Responsibilities

• Identify market opportunities and design forward-market trade strategies across GB and EU power curves
• Execute trades leveraging market insight and quantitative analysis
• Collaborate with quantitative teams to improve models, signals, and analytics supporting trading strategies
• Articulate trade rationale clearly and maintain strong situational awareness in fast-moving markets
• Manage risk through decisive action and disciplined market participation

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience trading GB/EU power curve markets
• Demonstrable track record of speculative P&L generation and commercial impact
• Deep understanding of power markets, including experience with forward asset optimization
• Proficiency in analyzing large datasets
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and advanced Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with market counterparties
