Senior Power Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage with renewable energy developers and investors in Japan to identify grid connection opportunities
• Lead early-stage client discussions and technical positioning of services
• Perform power system assessments including load flow, grid connection feasibility, and curtailment analysis
• Coordinate with international T&D teams for detailed modeling and simulation
• Translate Japanese grid practices and requirements into technical inputs for global teams
• Support business development through proposal preparation and market intelligence

Requirements

• 8–15 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, or grid connection studies
• Experience in the Japanese power sector (utility, developer, EPC, or consultancy)
• Solid understanding of power system fundamentals (load flow, short-circuit, stability)
• Proficiency in Japanese (mandatory)
• Ability to work in English with international teams
• Experience with PSS®E, DigSILENT Power Factory, or equivalent tools is beneficial
