Senior Policy Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead energy and climate projects day-to-day, ensuring high-quality delivery and team coordination
• Conduct rigorous research and analysis, including desk research, focus groups, and polling
• Shape advocacy strategies by developing policy recommendations, briefings, and messaging for stakeholders
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and meeting their strategic needs
• Support the growth of the practice by identifying new business opportunities and contributing to growth strategies
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative culture

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in policy, research, consultancy, or a closely related field
• Proven expertise in energy, climate, or environmental policy (domestic or international)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing work for senior audiences
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, multifaceted projects independently
• Experience in stakeholder management and building relationships with policymakers and sector leaders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to business development or organic account growth
• Background working within government, think tanks, charities, or trade bodies

Benefits

• Salary range of £46,000 to £55,000, depending on experience
• Hybrid working model (core office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
